How to Log in to Canvas

Canvas can be found at the RTC Website, and also by going to: rtc/edu/canvas.

Click on the dropdown menu to find Canvas:

 

This takes you to a login screen. You can log in to Canvas with your Student ID number and the first 8 letters of your last name.

If your last name is shorter than 8 letters, repeat from the beginning of the last name. For example, smith become smithsmi.

If your last name has a hyphen, remove it. For example, koshi-lum becomes koshilum.

Then click "Log in".  Here is a visual:

Make sure to:

Type your ID number with no dashes. 840-123-4567 becomes: 8401234567

Type your last name all lower case. Jones becomes: jonesjon

Troubles logging in? 

If you have attended another college in Washington and it takes you to that college instead of RTC, contact elearning@rtc.edu with your name and ID number and we can re-set your password for Renton Tech.

If you find that you cannot log in for any other reason (such as you forgot your password),  contact elearning@rtc.edu  with your name and ID number we can help you.
