Panopto and Zoom Recordings
Here is a step-by-step guide for finding Panopto and the Zoom recordings that are automatically imported into Panopto. In order to get the Zoom recordings into Panopto, make sure that when you record a Zoom video, you select "Send To Cloud" on your Zoom settings webpage.
Here's the step-by-step:
1) Use the Redirect tool to add Zoom to your course. To do this, go to "Settings" (in Canvas course navigation) and then select "Apps". Use the filter field to find "Redirect Tool", click the icon, then click "Add App" then type "Zoom" into the Name field, and use the URL of your Zoom account in the URL Redirect field. Check-mark all four boxes in that pop-up window.
2) Click "Home" in the Canvas navigation. You should see Zoom listed.
3) In Canvas course navigation, click "Canvas For Faculty".
4) Click "Making The Shift: Teaching Resources".
5) Click "Panopto Recordings".
6) Click "Continue Teaching".
7) In the drop-down menu from step 6 click "My Folder".
8) Click "Meeting Recordings". You should now see those Zoom recordings on Panopto that were saved to the Zoom server.
9) Click or hover on the title of the recording to edit or embed the video into you course(s).
10) You can also create a Panopto video by clicking the "Create" button on the page that has your videos listed.
You can copy the address of the page which you get after clicking "Meeting Recordings" in step 8, and use the Redirect Tool to put "Panopto and Zoom Recordings" into the course navigation in order to minimize the clicks needed to get to that Canvas page.
