Congratulations! You have been nominated to receive an Ahead of the Class - Excellence in Education Award. The Ahead of the Class Award is presented to individual teachers from Renton area schools who have demonstrated high standards of professionalism and innovation in teaching.  Award recipients are chosen from a pool of teachers nominated by students, parents, and other educators. Your nomination demonstrates your success in the classroom and commitment to teaching.

Please complete the attached application form and email it to bandrews@gorenton.com by March 12th, 2017 6:00pm.

Please note that the application form has been updated. Your principal has been informed that you are a nominee. The application outlines the requirements and selection process. You have been nominated as an “individual.”  Please follow the corresponding guidelines for “Individual Application.”  We encourage you to support your nomination with a thorough response. 

Finalists will be named the week of March 20th, 2017.  Interviews of finalists will be between March 27th and 31st. As a nominee, you are invited to attend the Renton Ahead of the Class Awards Ceremony on April 13th at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center at 7:00 pm.  We will recognize all nominees at this gala event, which is free to the public.  Please plan to attend, bring guests, and join in the celebration.
