Hello RTC Community, 

I hope the coming winter break is full of rest, relaxation, and safe gatherings of family and friends! 

I am writing to you today to update you on Learning Resources and Career Center (LRCC) services and operations over the winter break. Feel free to share as you see a need. The LRCC office will be open Monday through Wednesday 9AM to 3PM. Closed Thursday and Friday. 

  • December 6th – 9th 
  • December 13th – 16th  
  • December 20th - 22nd  
  • December 27th – 29th  

The LRCC is located on the Renton Technical College campus, 3000 NE 4th St, Renton, Building C Room 102. Email address is lrcc@rtc.edu and phone number is 425.235.2352 ext. 5721. Masks are required to be worn while inside the LRCC, as well as social distancing. We will have a limit of ~20 people who can be inside the center at any given time, including staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Limited Winter Break LRCC Services include 

  • Computer use and limited printing (up to 10 pages)

  • In partnership with UWKC - United Way of King County Benefits Hub Links to an external site. provides additional resources; there are many! Millions of college students across the country live in poverty. And, every year, too many drop out because they can’t cover a financial emergency of $500 or less. To help, UWKC Benefit Hub, in partnership with Edquity Links to an external site. – a new service that helps colleges manage their emergency aid programs - and helps students like you apply for and receive grants in less than 48 hours! If you are enrolled in 6 or more credits and you’re experiencing a financial crisis, download the Edquity app on your iPhone or Android device and apply for emergency aid today!   • Emergency Funds – in 15 minutes or less, you can use the Edquity app to answer basic questions about your financial needs and apply for emergency funding from the Benefits Hub. Once your application is complete, students who’ve been approved will receive grants -not loans- in 48 hours or less.
  • Food Access and Housing Support – From medical care to food pantries, the Edquity app includes a visual map and detailed information about dozens of resources on and off campus to help meet your basic needs.
  • Financial Coaching and Paying for College – College students can now use the Edquity app to generate a personalized financial plan, including custom budget based on your previous transactions and projected needs.
