Why do I need to apply for graduation?

Right now, the college does not have the ability to automatically check your requirements and add your certificate or degree to your academic record.

We need you to tell us that it is time to look closely at your transcript, because you have completed all of your classes.

You can continue to take classes and earn more certificates / degrees after you apply for graduation!

In some programs, you might apply for graduation more than once. This happens when a program has several certificates, or stackable certificates, up to a degree.

How do I apply for graduation?

You can fill out the college's online application form. Links to an external site. It has several steps. We ask for your personal information, including your mailing address. We also ask for details about your program -- are you applying for a certificate or degree?

When will I get my certificate or diploma?

First, the college has to verify that you have completed all of your requirements. This can take several weeks because hundreds of students graduate every quarter.

After we add your credential to your student record, it can take up to 3 months for your diploma to arrive in the mail. 

How do I participate in the graduation ceremony in June?

Our graduation ceremony, or Commencement, happens at the end of spring quarter in late June. We usually hold it at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA, so you can invite lots of family and friends.

You tell us that you plan to attend the ceremony by filling out the cap and gown request form Links to an external site..
