When do classes meet? Day 

In this certificate program, you learn to care for patients of all ages during disease, surgery, and rehabilitation. The curriculum includes patients' rights, basic bedside nursing skills, patient and personal safety, and HIPAA. You practice skills in our campus labs and then gain work experience in hospitals or skilled nursing facilities.

Grade requirements: Complete each class with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Materials Warning

If you rent a textbook, make sure you return it by the deadline. If you purchase a textbook, you can sell it back to the RTC bookstore -- but make sure that you won't need the book again for classes in the future!

Description: You explore the role of the nursing assistant in meeting basic patient needs, including rehabilitation and restorative care. You also learn how to recognize and report abnormal signs and symptoms of common diseases and conditions.
