General Overview

When can I start? Fall (September) [preferred] or Winter (January)

length of the program icon How long is the program? 3 quarters (9 months) with 33 credits

When do classes meet? Class times are different each quarter, but you should be available Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.

The Mechanical Engineering Technology certificate is a specialty option within our computer drafting program - you will learn how to draw and model machine parts, including the use of SolidWorks software.

Note: This program does not teach you how to be a mechanical engineer. That job usually requires a four-year bachelor degree.

What does a mechanical drafter do?

What is the average salary?

$63,660 annually Links to an external site. in the Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma area. Most mechanical drafters earn at least $47,010; there is a wide salary range. As you gain experience and promotions you will earn more.
