Did you know that every word has many meanings?
Some believe a word may have more than 70 meanings. Wow! I had no idea. What I know is that Words have power. They have the power to make us love or hate; make us do or don’t do something; and even make us change our mind or feelings about something or someone.
Words are powerful when they touch the heart. Words help us communicate our feelings, our thoughts, and our needs. In the dictionary we may find several meanings for one word. To understand the true meaning of a word in a certain context we need to know the history of that word; and the culture of the region where the word is being used.
We all know that sometimes our busy days keep us away from the reality of our diversity and of our surroundings. So very often, in many cultures, people pass by each other without ever thinking to be of service to a fellowman/woman that may be in a special-need situation. But, when we do pay attention and do something about it we feel great! After reading this:
