Text: This course is not like any other course you have taken in ESL classes. This course is in a “virtual classroom”. This is a course that will give you a bigger picture of our world, and our existence. Language and culture are so related and connected that some believe they are inextricable [in-ex-tric-abl]. They are inseparable. This course will give you a chance to think, and solve some fundamental questions with my help and through your own efforts and with helping one another. You will ask and respond to questions that relate to human relations and interactions. This is a course to push boundaries for us; and hopefully our discussions will help us understand our place in the world, so we can learn about who we are, where we are, and what we are doing and, even perhaps, where we are going, etc. To find answers we will discuss and share our thoughts in “Discussions”. You will watch videos, you will present online as you are ready. We can share and receive opinions or facts knowing that some of the things we know today may change tomorrow. So, we stay open-minded, and respect other people’s thoughts and ideas. If everything works out, we might even have fun cooking and eating together across the world.
